iControl connects remote equipment to the users who need the data now.  Whether recording and relaying sensor data, monitoring for alarm conditions or determining location, iControl makes it easy and affordable to connect and deploy data acquisition and control (iDAC) equipment in the field. For additional asset visibility, iControl also offers an iDAC with real-time, worldwide tracking capabilities (iTAG).

Communications from the iDAC to the Internet is accomplished via iControl's unique adaptive, multimode network design. The iDAC establishes a Wide Area Network (WAN) connection either through an intermediate RF Local Area Network (LAN) to a gateway or an embedded WAN modem (cellular and low-power satellite). The latter puts the "Mobile" into MATTS.

For clustered environments, such as ports or onboard ships, iDACs use the RF LAN connection to an Internet gateway (iGATE). The iGATE supports Ethernet, cellular, and satellite modems.

The other end of the WAN connection is iVIEW. iVIEW is a database and webserver used to store, analyze, report the collected data. It also provides a user-customizable interface for account administration, alert notification, remote configuration, and data fusion.
