Mobile Digital Systems, Inc. partnered with
iControl to extend their mobile wireless event tracking systems to
include Internet connectivity. Together, iControl and MDS
created an improved method for capturing, storing, and analyzing
dynamic vehicle data.
The new system (MDS MobileLoggerV),
enables an onboard video recorder to capture vehicle data before (and
after) an abrupt change in speed or turning radius, for the purpose
of identifying driving patterns, and to aid the reconstruction of
vehicle incidents, including accidents. The events just prior to a
hard break or other abrupt change in the operation of the vehicle,
are video-recorded, and provide irrefutable evidence of the events
leading up to the incident, including time of impact. The new
solution promises far reaching implications for improved accuracy and
efficiency in accident reconstruction, streamlined vehicle
