Load Measurement and Waste Management

iControl has collaborated with a producer of a miniature strain gauge system that is used to measure loads in a variety of applications ranging from airplane loading to waste disposal measurements. iControl and the customer have developed a means to measure grease vats in a restaurant. Cooking grease is considered a hazardous material and it is important to notify the waste disposal companies of when the vats are full, so they can be picked up quickly without wasting the route driver’s time.  Our solution incorporates small versions of iDACs, known as iCHIMES that wirelessly form a Local Area Network that links to an iGATE connected to a phone line in the restaurant office. “Full” events are broadcasted to the disposal company, the restaurant owner, and local environmental concerns.
