General Manager, Advanced Logistics and Communications
As General Manager of iControl's Advanced Logistics and Communications Systems, Mr. Cavage spearheads the commercialization and standardization of iControl's Mobile Asset Tag Tracking System for use in the Transportation and Logistics industry.
Mr. Cavage comes to iControl after 17 years at APL Ltd., a global container transportation and logistics company and a unit of Singapore-based Neptune Orient Lines. He also participated in several International Standard Organization (ISO) and EPCglobal committees pursuing development of RFID and communication standards.
Most recently, Mr. Cavage was Director Technology, Strategy, and Innovation for APL Ltd. responsible for setting technology direction and aligning IT with strategic business objectives. As a thought leader to the organization, Mr. Cavage was able to focus on the strategic use of technologies to better manage the enterprise’s functional requirements and its customers' informational needs. These are areas in which APL is recognized as an industry leader. Mr. Cavage’s involvement in technology R&D, the building of complex supply chain solutions, participation on several standards committees, and new application development ensured that APL stayed abreast of the competition.
Mr. Cavage holds a Bachelor's degree in International Studies from the University of Washington, Seattle, and a Certificate in Computer Information Systems from the University of California, Berkeley.
